Loving Creator,

Thank you, oh source of all abundance, for surrounding me with good things. But help me to remember that nothing of earthly value owns timeless truth. Let your immeasurable blessings transform how I perceive material benefits. Teach me to appreciate unchanging treasures: the wealth of your compassion, the grandeur of your wisdom, and the richness of reconciliation. Lighten my selfishness with simple faith. Help me to reveal your love more joyously. And strengthen me in grace, oh God, always to give the best that serves you most in humble gratitude.

Amen.

Title 'Care For The Elderly'

The Bible says in:

Psalms 71:9
Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
                            and in 
Romans 15:1
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Dear God,
It is clearly your will that we look after our elderly. Aging is a process that everyone of us encounters. As the body gets older, sometimes it begins to lose some of its functionality through the wear and tear of living.
Today I pray that we remember all our elderly folk. We thank you for the positive contributions that each and every elderly person has made to our lives. In the hustle and bustle of life help us to remember them lord. Give us the strength and resources to care for our elderly lord. Help them to not be left out of regular living, but to continue to be as important to us as they are to you Lord. Please bring relief to all those who may be lonely, bored, rejected, forgotten or struggling Lord, including those who may have lost their will to live. Bless them with a renewed zest for life. Remind them Oh God of how much they are deeply loved, and appreciated. Help all those around the elderly folk to treat them with all the respect, dignity and tenderness that they deserve. Teach us to value all our elders, and to assist them in ageing gracefully. I pray today that all elderly folk may live out their last days in joy, peace, comfort, serenity and loving companionship. This I ask in Christ Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Dear God,
Mother earth needs you so much right now.
She yearns to be released from all the misuse and abuse that's being heaped upon her.
She groans for the pain of millions of her children of all species.
Heal her, help her free her Oh  mighty God.
For she deserves better.
Release her from the harshness of the lizard brain race.
Free her of their addictive behaviour towards her and all her inhabitants.
She is the mother of all Mothers.
Awesome in every way.
Beautiful and loving, yet fierce and protective.
She is not to be messed with, but to be honoured and respected.
Forgive us Oh God for our carelessness.
Deliver us from our powerlessness to treat her right.
We now humbly repent of our wicked ways.
In the mighty name of Our Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Dear Lord,
while there are many things that can and do happen in life that are frightening or overwhelming,
I know that your power is greater than all of them. So I entrust you with them all. Even when what I experience is too much for me, it is never too much for You. Anything I face is\nothing alongside Your ability to redeem. I now choose and acknowledge that belief. Lord I lift to you the things that worry and frighten me most, and ask that you would protect me and the people I love and care about, from them. Specifically I bring before you this special request for:-

Title: 'Gaga!!!'

A dictionary defines the word 'Gaga' is as :
1. An insulting word used to describe someone who is confused.
2. Crazy, foolish. 
 I am informed by personality experts that one's name is very important. A name has symbolism, and holds a form of energy around the person whom is named. I am even told by experts in the field of he mind, that our behavior and our personality is modified according to our name. Some people are even able to determine the characteristics of an individual, their strengths, weaknesses, gifts and desires, simply by analyzing that person's name. When we consider the lengths that so many parents worldwide go to, in choosing a name for their unborn offspring, we see how important this matter is. In fact naming ceremonies are organized  for newborns especially for this purpose. I know for a fact that in certain African traditions, a baby is named not only by the parents, but also by other member's of the immediate family like grandparents, uncle's and aunties. In addition, pet names are conferred upon the person by close friends and family. My first name, when translated into English, means 'I was wise enough to give birth to success'. I love my name, and each day I strive to live up to its meaning, in all areas of my life. So where am I going with all this?
  When I think of a celebrity like Lady Gaga, of whom reports in the press have been circulating, that she has recently been showing erratic behavior, including the signs of being close to a breakdown, I can't help wondering what bearing, having a name like 'Lady Gaga', could have on such an unfortunate outcome. Clearly an artistically and musically gifted individual, Lady Gaga's entire image,  her music, her performances, her style, the way she dresses, these all convey a 'gaga' persona, as per the dictionary definition, but in addition, there includes a not at all subtle message that being and acting 'gaga' is cool.

Title: Dear God....

Dear God,
For each and every lie I have ever told, please forgive me, I am sorry.
For each and every negative criticism I have levied against another, please forgive me, I am sorry
For each and every time I have engaged in gossip about other's, please forgive me now, I am sorry.
For each and every time that I have judged or condemned another person, group, place or situation without understanding or verifying all the facts, I am deeply sorry, please forgive me now.
For each and every time that I have miss-read another's intentions, or presumed to know their intentions, when actually I did not, please forgive me, I am sorry.
For those times when I have jumped to conclusions about people, places, events and situations, which later turned out to be false or damaging, I am deeply sorry, and ask your forgiveness.
For all of those times when I have expressed jealousy, envy, bitterness or resentment towards another's happiness, contentment, good fortune, merit, blessings or advancement in life; please forgive me now, For I genuinely repent these things and I am sorry.
I am aware that based on my own efforts or the efforts of man alone, I could never be healed from these transgressions, because they have been deeply rooted in my perspective, and have been developing as part of me for so long. I am truly sorry now that this has been so. I am sorry for the suffering and upset that my cultivation of such attitudes and habits have caused me, others and particularly you. Please forgive me today. I request for every one of these transgressions and their effects to be Reversed in their entirety, by the love and grace of my beloved Lord, Master and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I truly repent. I now accept His loving grace and complete renewal, as a gift of His love for me. I give you thanks and praise for your deliverance.

  Almighty God, 

Whose loving hand has given me all that I possess; Grant me grace that I may honor you with my substance, and remembering the account which I must one day give, may be a faithful steward of your bounty; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
